It’s now possible.

Cinema as we know it has been around for over 100 years. For at least half of that, cinemas have been giving patrons the experience that was in a directors’ mind’s eye. As well as this, it’s one of the best things you can do to relax with family and friends. With technology swiftly progressing in recent decades, it is now possible to have the director’s vision and invite your family and friends over for the full screen immersive experience in your own home.

For those that still want an immersive big screen experience but in a more relaxed entertaining atmosphere, multi-use media rooms are a great option. We can tailor the install to suit gaming, sports, films or all three at once in any type of living space. As an example, some of our clients have incorporated the latest in 8k TV and short throw projector technology into beautiful media walls with full Dolby Atmos surround sound in their open plan kitchen/living area. This solution makes a living space so versatile whilst still being so impressive in terms of audio-visual quality and is a fantastic solution if you don’t want a dedicated cinema room.

Design

Our consultation and design process ensures you get the most immersive visual and audio packages possible so you can sit back and enjoy high fidelity Dolby Atmos surround sound and the most detailed, breathtakingly crisp moving image.

From the underpinnings of the room to speaker choice and placement, this vital initial stage informs the rest of the rooms build and configuration. The design team work in tandem with our audio experts to ensure your cinema is as visceral as possible.

3D renders of the design will be provided to show our workings through technical drawings, so you know how your room will look and sound before the build starts

Acoustics
Soundproof acoustic panels with embedded speakers on a wall.

Acoustics

Without a good sounding room as a starting point, your speakers will have a hard time re-creating lush sounding audio. Using acoustic treatment and the science of absorption, diffusion and trapping we can minimize the effects of flutter echo, ringing mids and highs as well as standing waves in the low end.

Calculation of room modes and implementation of the treatment will mean your cinema will reproduce audio the way it was meant to be heard. We can conceal treatment behind fabric walls or offer attractive, modern on-show treatment that is often seen as a talking point.

Dolby Atmos

Dolby Atmos has established itself as the go-to for multi-channel audio. Atmos uses an object-based audio engine technology that is used to create the most immersive 3D environment. All equipment specified in our designs are fully Atmos compatible and systems are always integrated with Dolby’s installation requirements and guidelines.

IMAX is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in cinema technology. We work alongside suppliers that can specify specific products that are IMAX ENHANCED certified. This certification guarantees you the best in cinema equipment, as defined by Hollywood’s leading technical specialists.

Room Calibration
A computer monitor displays a graph with frequency response curves in red, green, and black, labeled as 'Response pre bass management,' 'Target,' and 'Corrected response,' respectively. The graph shows levels in dB SPL across a range of frequencies from 15 Hz to 10 kHz. A metallic object is visible to the left of the monitor in a gray setting.

Room Calibration

No matter how good an acoustic design is of a room, there will always be a compromise somewhere. Fortunately, the equipment we use has in-built room correction technology that makes up for that last 10% that is incredibly hard to achieve with bricks and mortar.

Using a measurement microphone, the frequency response of the room is recorded at multiple locations around the space. Taking speakers, positioning and the treated room into account, the room correction algorithms give smoother bass reproduction and makes the sound image that much more accurate no matte what seat you’re sitting in.

Lighting & Control

Lighting & Control

We can create the right atmosphere with bespoke lighting solutions, no matter if you’re watching a film, football or gaming. With advanced lighting technologies through Control 4, Lutron or KNX we can provide incredible lighting control that will take your home cinema experience to the next level.

Our Control Systems allows for powerful and simple control of any room, but it can work especially well in a Cinema room. For example, by pressing a single button on a keypad, remote control or even your phone, you can lower the projector screen, pull up Netflix, dim the lights and draw the curtains. This makes the transition to film mode as seamless and impressive as possible.

The commitment to a cinema room isn’t always possible or wanted, either due to space or lifestyle. Luckily, we have solutions that don’t compromise on space or the aesthetics of your home and give you an audio visual experience that will impress any cinema go-er or Hi-Fi audiophile.

Our media walls can be made to blend seamlessly into the décor of your house and bring usability and style to your lifestyle. These units become a brilliant feature of your living space by integrating wine fridges, humidor’s, shelving, display and liquor cabinets.
